Mark
Founder & Director
“The man, the myth, the Director…!”
Mark is the driving force behind the business and founded Hughes Electrical back in 2007 with wife, Jo.
Armed with an incredible business brain, endless energy and an almost concerning ability to work day and night, Mark is always thinking about the next big idea, the next challenge or how to make the business better.
His enthusiasm and business sense are second to none… although his constant stream of ideas might occasionally drive the rest of the team slightly mad! Mark is meticulous in his work, and professionalism, quality and attention to detail are at the heart of everything he does.
Despite his hectic schedule, family always comes first for Mark. And because apparently running an electrical business isn't enough of a challenge, he's also been building the family home over the past few years. Clearly, relaxing isn't something that features too highly on his to-do list!
Jo
Director & Office Manager
“The Queen of keeping things in check!”
Every great business needs someone keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes and at Hughes Electrical, that someone is Jo! Director, Office Manager and accountant, Jo wears many hats and tries to keep the plates all spinning daily. The lists, the orders, the certificates and the accounts: if it needs organising, Jo's already three steps ahead!
Jo loves a list, a bit of structure and making sure everyone knows exactly what they are doing. If it's not on Jo's list, does it even exist?!
Whilst Mark may be the one coming up with a million new ideas, Jo is often the one making sure they actually happen. Together, they've built the business to where it is today and couldn't be more proud.
Away from the office, Jo enjoys keeping fit at the gym, jetting off on holiday whenever she gets the chance and trying new foods. Her biggest role of all is being the number one fan of her two football-mad sons. Whether she's cheering from the sidelines or supporting them every step of the way, family is at the heart of everything Jo does.

Harry is the longest serving member of the team, having joined us straight from college over 10 years ago! A highly skilled electrician with an eye for detail that most people can only dream of, Harry takes OCD to a whole new level when it comes to his electrical work. If it's not neat, tidy and absolutely spot on, it's simply not finished in Harry's eyes!
When he's not delivering exceptional workmanship, you'll find him chatting away (Harry is NEVER short of a word or two!), or hunting down his next snack! Outside of work, Harry loves spending time with his family and has a real passion for cars and motorbikes.
Harry is a huge credit to our team. His dedication, reliability and willingness to go the extra mile for both our customers and the business make him an invaluable part of what we do. If you need Harry, make sure you've got a brew, a packet of biscuits and at least 20 minutes spare for a chat!

Luke
Apprentice Electrician

Every electrician has to start somewhere, and for Luke that journey starts right here at Hughes Electrical! Our newest recruit and apprentice electrician, Luke is ready to learn the ropes.
He's joining a team with years of experience, plenty of knowledge to share and of course, an endless supply of jokes to keep him on his toes! There's plenty to learn, from the technical side of the job to the importance of doing things properly, safety and the high standards Hughes Electrical is known for.
Outside of work, Luke enjoys playing pool and going to the gym. He is also a keen Crystal Palace fan who describes the day they won the FA Cup in May 2025 as the “best day of his life”! (Don't tell his girlfriend!)
We wish Luke the best of luck with his course and look forward to seeing his confidence grow and his skills take shape over the coming years!
Veronica
Finance

Our resident numbers whizz and queen of keeping us all in line! Veronica has been keeping our finances in check for almost 10 years, making sure every penny adds up and nothing slips through the cracks.
She keeps us all on our toes, makes sure Mark's wacky business ideas get a healthy dose of financial reality, and ensures everything behind the scenes runs like clockwork. Organised, sharp, and never afraid to tell it like it is, Veronica is the voice of reason when the rest of us get carried away. Quite simply, she keeps us grounded, keeps the numbers straight, and keeps the business ticking along. We honestly couldn't do it without her!
Veronica enjoys trips to the theatre, holidaying abroad with her husband and often wider family, and spending time in the garden growing all sorts of delicious things!
